My Simmons

Health Promotion and Wellness Support

We know that our students thrive when they’re healthy, which is why we offer a wide variety of health, fitness, and wellness programming. Several fitness and athletic activities at Simmons center are around the Holmes Sports Center, located right on our residence campus.

The REEF Support Center is a centralized student support services unit that includes food and housing security resources, the SOS emergency fund, commuter student services, off-campus housing resources, and violence prevention and education.

Our Wellness Ambassadors provide open-minded and non-judgmental resources on campus for accurate health and wellness information. They promote the mission of the Recreation and Wellness Program and advocate for a culture of well-being among the Simmons community.

Our FIT at Simmons programs takes a holistic approach to fitness, focusing on physical and mental wellbeing. Whether you’re stretching it out in a yoga class or educating our community on health and wellness best practices, there are endless opportunities for students to get involved.

Our Counseling Center is available to on-the-ground Simmons undergraduate or graduate student who is eligible to meet with a counselor for an assessment appointment. Counseling is appropriate for anyone troubled by a specific problem or with general concern. Students seek counseling for personal growth, increased self-awareness, self-esteem, anxieties, depression, family and relationship issues, and acute problems or crises.

Simmons Health Center, located on the Simmons Residence Campus, offers health care to Simmons undergraduate and graduate students. A Provider is on-call whenever the Health Center is closed by calling Public Safety.  All Undergraduates may access the center as a part of their health fee. Graduate students enrolled in the university health plan can access services for free. All other students can receive treatment fee for service (insurance not accepted)

As members of the Colleges of the Fenway, a consortium of five neighboring schools, we have access to even more health and wellness opportunities, including intramural sports.
