Residence Hall Break Information

November Break Information
- Students staying for November break need to test Monday or Tuesday before break.
- There is no charge for November break housing.
- Dining will be closed during break.
Finals and Winter Break Information
- 24 Hour Quiet Hours Policy: During final exams week, the Office of Residence Life upholds a 24 Hour Quiet Hours Policy. 24 Hour Quiet Hours begin on December 14 at 5pm and continue until closing on December 22 at noon.
- From December 15 – December 21, Residence Life will host “Check Out Hours” from 8am-9pm, and on December 22 from 8:30am-noon.
- Residents leaving prior to December 15 are welcome to come to the ORL during business hours (8am-5:30pm) or call the RA on Duty to check out.
- When a resident is ready to check out, they will go to the Office of Residence Life for assistance where an OA (8am-5pm) or RA (5pm-9pm) will help them.
Over Break Policies
- Unless approved to stay during Winter Break, residents are not permitted to enter the residence halls until they re-open Saturday, January 15 at 9am.
- There is a $25/night charge for Winter Break housing.
- Dining will be closed during break.
End of Semester Room Changes
- On October 23, a Room Change Process form was shared with all residents offering them the option to move rooms. ORL will contact approved students with instructions to complete their move before leaving for Winter Break.
- Residents moving rooms will follow the same check out process.
- Additionally, the OA/RA will walk the resident to their former room assignment to complete the check-out portion of the Room Condition Form.
- Then they will go to the resident’s new room assignment to confirm the move is complete and collect the old room key.
