* Additional days off granted at the President’s discretion. Please note that some offices and schools will remain open during Winter Break.
** Floating Holidays provide employees with a paid day(s), taken at a time chosen by the employee and approved by the manager. Please refer to the University’s Holiday and Winter Break Policy (on the Benefits intranet site) for additional information. Employees, if eligible, may elect to use floating holidays (if approved), on the actual day of the holiday or at any time after that day within the fiscal year. Floating holidays cannot be carried over into the next fiscal year and cannot be paid out. If you are a part time benefits-eligible employee you will receive one-fifth of your weekly scheduled hours for each floating holiday the University observes.
*** Meeting Free Days are to create opportunities for uninterrupted time to focus on important work. The idea is to limit large and/or recurring meetings for a day. A meeting free does not mean a no-work day.
