Our annual Fall Connections Carnival is happening this Wednesday, September 10 from 3:30 to 5:00 pm in the Common Grounds and Fens Cafe! 


Swing by to learn about our 50+ student orgs and campus programs! You can also register to join a student org on Campus Connect.


On Wednesday, you'll find us on the 1st floor and lower level of the Main College Building (or just follow the noise). We'll have popcorn, cotton candy, and a raffle! 🎟️

Study Abroad 101 Sessions

Are you interested in studying abroad in a future term? Please join us for a Study Abroad 101 session! You will learn about the study abroad process and will have a chance to chat with a student who studied abroad last year! 


  • Tuesdays from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm in the Center for Student Success, 1st Floor Lefavour Hall, Room E-A085
  • Wednesdays from 4:00 - 5:00 pm in the Center for Student Success, 1st Floor Lefavour Hall, Room E-A085. There will be no session on 9/10, but you are welcome to stop by our table at the Connections Carnival!
  • Fridays from 10:30 - 11:30 am via Zoom

Unpacking Study Abroad | Wednesday, September 24 from 6 - 8 PM

Calling all students who studied abroad in a prior term! Are you interested in telling others about your experience and learning about how your time studying abroad can be used for career opportunities? Please join us on Wednesday, September 24 from 6 - 8 pm in the Kotzen Room (E-001/002, 1st floor of Lefavour Hall) to meet with other study abroad returnees and hear from Career Development about how skills you gained can be used in your future career. Study Abroad Fair | Thursday, September 25 from 3 - 5 PM

Please join us at our Study Abroad Fair between the hours of 3 - 5 pm on September 25 in the area outside of Common Grounds. This is a great opportunity to learn about the variety of study abroad opportunities that Simmons offers. You can meet with representatives from our partner programs, as well as Center for Global Education staff. 

ASPIRE: Life Design Program at Simmons

Be a Trailblazer: Design Your Life, Share Your Passion!


Are you a student worker interested in gaining more experience? Want to figure out what really motivates you and turn that into something amazing? Join the very first cohort of the ASPIRE & Life Design extension program at Simmons!


This 3-part workshop series is a hands-on, creativity-fueled experience where you’ll use design thinking and brainstorming strategies to explore your passions, build confidence, and discover how you can relate your student work experience to applicable, real-life opportunities.


Being a part of the cohort includes:

  • Working on personal, project-based ideas with others. This can include expanding your communication and marketing skills by creating mock-up flyers or posts or even designing stickers and buttons for your department! Lots of creative ideas to explore!
  • Getting personalized support from group sessions and 1-on-1 check-ins
  • Sharing your work at the campus student leadership conference
  • Building standout experience for your resume or portfolio – things that resume reviewers will view impressively


Joining this cohort will grow your NACE competencies – skills that employers are actively looking for – like teamwork, leadership, and creative problem-solving.


Qualifications:

  • Interest in Life Design and creativity
  • Current student worker
  • Interest in learning career competencies (NACE) with your passion and/or job
  • Availability to attend the 3 lab sessions as posted on the flyer (any questions about this, please contact [email protected])


Register to join the first ASPIRE cohort by Friday, September 19! Even if you're not sure whether ASPIRE is right for you, submit an application anyway and join our workshops for career development, snacks, and refreshments!

Become a Simmons Social Media Ambassador!

The Simmons Social Media Ambassador program wants you to tell your Simmons stories! The Office of University Communications is looking to hire three students to represent Simmons by showing what makes our university stand out. These students will be featured in videos and posts on Simmons' social media pages, showcasing the Simmons experience for both prospective and current students. This program is intended for students who are proud of being a part of the Simmons community and are passionate about content creation.


Details:

  • 1-2 hours per week for the 2025-26 academic year
  • $20/hour
  • Must be a full-time undergraduate (sophomore standing) or graduate student with a GPA of at least 2.5
  • Weekday afternoon availability is preferred, but not required.
  • Video editing experience preferred
  • Comfortable being in front of the camera and talking to students you don’t know
  • Occasionally wear the Stormy costume
