COVID? Flu? Just a cold?

Stuffy nose, sore throat, headache...what should you do if you start feeling sick?

With classes and activities in full swing, we will start to see transmission of respiratory illnesses on campus. Here are some important tips to protect yourself and others- as members of a community, we must all do our part to keep our community healthy.

  • Get your seasonal flu and 2025-26 COVID vaccines. You can make an appointment for one of the upcoming on-campus clinics or visit a local pharmacy.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water and cover sneezes and coughs.
  • If you don't feel well, stay home! You should make an effort to stay home and rest so that you get better faster AND you avoid spreading your illness to others.
  • If you test positive for COVID or flu, you should stay home until you are fever-free without medication for at least 24 hours and your other symptoms have started improving.
  • If you absolutely must go out, wear a well-fitted mask and maintain physical distance from others as much as possible until your symptoms improve.

You can find more detailed recommendations from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health below.
