Bread and Roses Dinner and Conversation

Join the Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Annual Bread and Roses Dinner and Conversation on Wednesday, March 26 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm in

C-503 (fifth floor of the Management Building). There will be two guest speakers from the Tufts Center for Black Maternal Health and Reproductive Justice. The event will explore the latest research on and politics surrounding Black maternal health and the struggle for reproductive justice in 2025.

The Stephen D. London Center for Community Engagement and Social Justice is pleased to invite you to our end of year event on Wednesday April 23, 2025! Join us for our annual awards ceremony and showcase to celebrate the significant contributions our Simmons University leaders have made within our community.

The Massachusetts Promise Fellowship

The Massachusetts Promise Fellowship (MPF) is recruiting for the upcoming year. MPF is an AmeriCorps program at Northeastern University that places Fellows at nonprofit organizations, schools, and city agencies across Massachusetts to lead out-of-school-time programming for youth in grades 6-12. This program included a stipend, an award for future educational expenses, health insurance, and free classes at Northeastern University College of Professional Studies.

Update Your Immunization Information!

Have you received emails from the Health Center saying your immunization records are incomplete? Don't ignore them! Students who are missing information will have a hold placed on their student account and will not be able to register for fall classes.

 

To check your status, log into the Student Health Portal and visit the "Immunizations" page to view 

your checklist. If you have items in yellow or red, you need to complete them. Questions? Review the requirements here, or contact [email protected] with questions.

  • The 3rd Annual Celebrating Survivors Dinner will be taking place on Thursday, April 24th from 6 - 8:30 pm. This special event is dedicated to honoring the enduring legacy of Betsy's Friends, shedding light on the vital work in violence prevention at Simmons University, and fostering a sense of unity in support of survivors campus wide. This evening promises to be a meaningful experience filled with community, inspiration, connection, and food!  Whether you are learning about Betsy’s Friends for the first time or have many years of involvement, please join us for a community dinner and program. We encourage you to join us in celebrating the strength of survivors and the positive changes initiated by this remarkable community.

  • The Violence Prevention and Education Outreach Program (VPEO), within the REEF Support Center, works to educate and spread awareness around forms of gender-based violence (e.g. sexual harassment, sexual assault, intimate partner violence, and stalking) to prevent the occurrence of violence on our campus or impacting our community. Betsy’s Friends is our group of undergraduate-trained students that offer both peer support and weekly programming. Please find the positions we have open for our team for the 2025-2026 year with the job descriptions linked. 

 

Summer/Fall housing support

  • Are you exploring options for summer and/or fall housing? Our team is here to walk through the options with you! We have a few new tools that we have developed and recently added to our website including “Subletting 101 One Pager” and “Off-Campus Housing Guide in Boston”. Graduation Regalia Borrowing Program -Opens April 1, 2025

  • The REEF Support Center has a small collection of graduation gowns available to students currently experiencing financial barriers to purchasing a cap and gown. Our selection includes undergraduate and graduate gowns only, with a small selection of Masters hoods. No doctoral robes are available. We welcome any undergraduate or graduate student who is concerned about their ability to purchase their graduation attire to apply. The online request form will be available from April 1, 2025 - April 15th, 2025, as supplies last.
