Getting Involved in the Community

Are you someone who wants to create positive change in your environment and community?

The London Center for Community Engagement and Social Justice is looking for students interested in making a difference!

We're currently recruiting highly motivated students for the following programs:

  • Alternative Spring Break: Join a student-led, social justice-driven team for a week of ethical service, reflection, learning, and more. Students travel during the week of spring break to an area designated by the group. Apply to be a Team Member to join the trip. Apply to be a Team Leader to plan and lead the experience!
  • America Learns: Volunteer to help provide fundamental support to teachers and educators at the Orchard Gardens K-8 Pilot School in Roxbury.
  • Jumpstart AmeriCorps: Join a team of your Simmons peers to build a community with each other as you support language, literacy, and social emotional learning & development for preschoolers in Boston! Spots are limited… don’t miss your chance and apply today!
  • Strong Women Strong Girls: Work with a group of Simmons students to deliver a research-based, female-centered curriculum and skill building activities for third through fifth graders in the Boston area.
