Simmons University Presents: Wellness in Words (Hope)

Wellness In Words (Hope and Resilience Focus) is a workshop that uses the power of poetry and film to unite folks in community, connection, and conversation around topics that explore the intersection of mental health and hope. This interactive experience will feature a discussion on mental health and the stigma that frequently surrounds mental illness.

Following this will be a live screening of two award-winning short films, poetry writing exercises to help us express our thoughts, and a collective exploration around what the work means for us as individuals. The event will culminate in a presentation of mental health resources, empowering us to share our own stories and access support available to us.

Free food and Art with Impact SWAG is available to all attendees. Attendees will also have the opportunity to be the first to check out the REEF Support Center's new Light Therapy boxes and have the chance to win Simmons apparel!

Registration is appreciated, but attendees can just show up in person on the day of the event.

Health Center Update: New Dietitian

In December, we said goodbye to Amy Cantor, who had served as the Registered Dietitian at the Health Center for six years. Amy's departure is a loss for Simmons, but she is moving on to other wonderful opportunities and we know she'll continue to do great work.

We are excited to announce that Marissa Johnson has joined the Health Center as our new Registered Dietitian. Marissa is a Simmons alum and former Simmons athlete. We are thrilled to have her on our team!

To make an appointment, call the Health Center at 617-521-1020
