Caring for our Minds

The College of Social Sciences, Policy, and Practice is thrilled to introduce a bi-weekly Mindful Monday offered by Elise Brenner, PhD, Assistant Teaching Professor in the Departments of Sociology and Public Health, Mindfulness Meditation Facilitator.

Some of us may not really be taking care of our minds as much as we are taking care of our body – or even our cell phone. We worry more about where our phone is than where our mind is. We check to make sure our phone hasn’t been harmed, that it’s fully charged, and so on. But when it comes to our minds, we may not be doing much to care for it on a regular basis.

Mindful Mondays will take place via Zoom 11:30am to 12pm every other week, and is open to all Simmons University students, faculty, and staff.
