COVID Policies

This week, all students will receive additional policy information in regard to following aspects of campus life:

COVID DashBoard

At the beginning of semester we shared our community commitment to wellness. At Simmons, students, faculty, and staff share the responsibility to fulfill and uphold our community values by demonstrating a firm commitment to health and safety. We do this by:

  • Working together to minimize transmission of COVID-19
  • Protecting those in our community and beyond who are especially vulnerable
  • Respectfully holding each other accountable
  • Recognizing individuals have varying degrees of comfort with returning to “normal”
  • Check out the regularly updated COVID dashboard (beginning the first full week of classes) to see how we are doing as a community.

Upcoming Opportunities

Introduction to Undoing Racism Workshop Opportunity

Led by the People's Institute for Survival and Beyond and coordinated by Dr. Hamilton-Mason, this intensive training will lead Simmons faculty, staff and students through the exploration of how we have been socialized and conditioned to think about race and racism in the United States.

This six hour workshop will discuss and analyze class, power and institutional/individual relationships within communities. Each session will include breaks throughout, allowing space and time for reflection, self care, and community connection.

Three workshops will be held from 9am - 3pm on Saturday September 18, Saturday September 25, and Saturday October 2. The deadline to complete the registration form is Friday, September 17.
