Next Week: Elevator Inspections

We will be performing annual state-mandated elevator inspections on all buildings on the Simmons Academic and Residence campuses in the first week of September. Elevator inspections lasts for a few hours and is performed one elevator at a time, so all buildings on the Academic Campus (with the exception of One Palace Road) should always have one working elevator.

View the full schedule of elevator inspections Testing for the elevator in One Palace Road is scheduled between 7am to 12pm on Friday, August 27. Contact Facilities (617-521-2525) with construction or campus access questions.

Finishing Construction in the MCB

As the Main College Building renovations wrap up, there might be some intermittent finishing work (sanding, painting, wallpapering, etc.) that continues through early October. The disruption should be minimal, and none of this work should affect access to or functionality of any areas of the MCB. If any work does cause such an impact, advance notice will be sent out and signage will be posted.
